Majorelle cardigan is knitted from top to bottom seamlessly.

We start by knitting with a cable raglan yoke and shorts rows to slightly hollow out the neckline. The body (back and front) is then worked together in the round with cables continuing down to the bottom. The buttonbands is worked in double jersey. The sleeves are worked in the round.

 

LEVEL: intermediare 2/3

 

SIZES: 1 (2 - 3) 4 (5 - 6) 7 (8 - 9)

Finished bust circumference approximately: 40.75 (43.5 - 44.5) 47 (49 - 53.5) 57.25 (60.25 - 64.75) inches or 103,5 (110,5 - 113) 119 (124,5 - 136) 145,5 (153 - 164,5) cm. Recommended ease: 6 to 10 inches or 15 to 25 cm of positive ease. To pick your right size, measure your full bust and add your desired ease, then pick the finished bust circumference closest to that number. Sample is shown in size 3 with 8.25 inches or 21 cm of positive ease.

 

GAUGE: 21 sts x 28 rows for 4 x 4 inches or 10 x 10 cm in St st with the larger needles.

 

YARN: this sweater is knitted with a lace and a fingering weight yarn held together: approx 1100 (1250 - 1320) 1450 (1600 - 1850) 2060 (2270 - 2450) yards or 1005 (1140 - 1200) 1330 (1460 - 1700) 1880 (2100 - 2400) m of each yarn.

If you prefer, you can knit this sweater with only one strand of a DK weight yarn.

 

NOTIONS: circular needles sizes 3 mm/US 2.5 (rib) and 4 mm/US 6 (body and sleeves) 40, 80 cm/16, 32 inches, cable needle, tapestry needle, cable to hold live stitches, 8 stitch markers and 7 boutons of 10 to 12 mm.

 

NOTES: the pattern is knitted using MSW (100% merinos sw – 400m = 100g) and KMS (72 % kid mohair, 28 % silk – 420 m = 50g) from Yarn by Simone color Marguerite.
