Roseraie is a comfortable sweater with an oversized and relaxed look, It is knitted seamlessly, top-down. You start knitting the yoke for the back then fronts are picked on the bottom from shoulders. Then, the body (back and front) is first worked back and forth then in round. The neckline and sleeve stitches are picked up and knitted in the round. It is also possible to embroider your sweater to add an extra touch !

Finished bust circumference approximately: 42.5 (44 - 47.25) 45.5 (49.25 - 52.75) 60.25 (63.75 - 67.75) inches or 103 (110 - 116) 124 (130 - 137) 146 (158 - 166) cm. Recommended ease: 8 to 12 inches or 20 to 30 cm of positive ease.

To pick your best size, measure your full bust and add your desired ease, then pick the finished bust circumference closest to that number.

Sample is shown in size 3 with 11 inches or 24 cm of positive ease.

 

GAUGE: 21 sts x 28 rows for 4 x 4 inches or 10 x 10 cm in st st with larger needles.

 

YARN: this sweater is knitted with a lace and a fingering weight yarn held together. Approx 1100 (1250 - 1320) 1450 (1600 - 1850) 2060 (2270 - 2450) yards or 1005 (1140 - 1200) 1330 (1460 - 1700) 1880 (2100 - 2400) m of each yarn.

If you prefer, you can knit this cowl with only one strand of a DK weight yarn.

 

NOTIONS: needles sizes 3 mm/US2.5, (rib) and 4 mm/US6 (body and sleeves) 80 cm/32 inches, tapestry needle, cable to hold live stitches, 2 stitches markers, a tape measure.

 

NOTES: the pattern is knitted in Merinos bio nsw color lavande and lace kid mohair/soie color Licorne from La Roseraie Yarn.

 

Techniques: st st, 1/1 ribs, kfb, pfb, M1L, M1R, k2tog, cast-on, italian bind off, embroidery.
